ABICI takes form to its most essential, as there are no wires or other attachments the sensuality of the form is magnified, the bicycle is laid bare. ABICI, simple and harmonious, mixes a retro style with hi-tech features making it unmistakable and pure. Crafted in Italy and rigorously tested, piece by piece.

Three friends from regions of Lombardy and Emilia and a passion born in a tavern, between a bottle of Lambrusco and a dish of tortelli. This is how the idea of ABICI was born.

Dario Gozzi, Stefano Seletti and Cristiano Gozzi started from an old 50’s catalogue of an Italian artisan and they began dreaming of working on a prototype, by removing all the frills and adding discreet hi-tech details, the bare bicycle took shape. This is the background to this business with its tradition and technology, imagination and management.

John Engelhardt has worked in many mediums as an artist over the years – From the light desks of Walt Disney to the walls down the street.

Along the way, scribing, altering and adorning anything that’s within reach.

Combining a love and passion for anything with wheels – particularly bikes,  where there is a space – and desire –  for a bit of something extra! Some form of expression. It can be realised.

John’s custom ’1 of 1′ series resonates from years of designing and the application of tattoos,  t-shirt designs and many other creative mediums. These current incarnations of pragmatic art are coming through in the form of leather saddles and metal fittings. Bike parts in general.
